What SmartCommute is

SmartCommute is a free, independent website that displays Singapore public bus information — bus stop locations, route listings and estimated real-time arrival times — alongside written guides about commuting in Singapore. It is a convenience tool. It is not a booking service, a ticketing service, or a substitute for official information from transport operators.

Accuracy and availability

Arrival times shown on SmartCommute are estimates produced by the Land Transport Authority's DataMall feed, derived from bus telemetry. They are not guarantees. Real journeys are affected by traffic, weather, road closures, breakdowns and service changes that the estimate cannot anticipate.

Route data and first/last bus timings are refreshed from DataMall on a scheduled basis and may briefly lag official changes. Always allow buffer time for journeys where arriving late has consequences, and check with the operator or LTA for anything time-critical.

We provide the site on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available, and we may change or discontinue any part of it without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, SmartCommute is not liable for any loss, missed connection, missed appointment, cost or damage arising from reliance on information presented on this site. Your use of the information is at your own discretion and risk.

Data source and attribution

Bus stop, bus route and bus arrival information on this site contains information from LTA DataMall, accessed via the LTA DataMall API and used in accordance with the Singapore Open Data Licence.

SmartCommute is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Land Transport Authority, SBS Transit, SMRT, Tower Transit, Go-Ahead Singapore, or any government agency. Operator and service names are used descriptively to identify the services being reported.

Acceptable use

• Do not use automated scripts to scrape the site or our API at a rate that degrades service for others.
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our infrastructure or interfere with its operation.
• Do not republish our written guides in full without attribution and a link back to the original.
• If you want the underlying transport data, get it directly from LTA DataMall — it is free and it is the authoritative source.

Intellectual property

The written guides, page layouts, design and code of SmartCommute are our own work. The underlying transport data belongs to LTA and is used under the licence above. You may quote short excerpts of our guides with attribution and a link.

Advertising

We display third-party advertising on our written guides to cover hosting costs. Ads are served by Google and their content is not selected, endorsed or vetted by us. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled and how to opt out.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
